Nor 26 (2016 Version)

from Lost Notes [ep] by Jim Nowhere

/

about

First written in 2006, performed many times live since then, and appears to have never gotten a proper recording. So, this fixes that small issue, doesn't it.

- Jim Nowhere

lyrics

I was twentyfive once, when I first wrote this song
I'm thirtysix now and won't be for long
though circumstances and time have changed
the words, the story, shall remain

spent fifteen years living it up
learning things to write about
trying to make it on my own
hidden inside whisky, fear, addiction, and love I've found my home.

but; Something tells me I wish we'd had
made better choices
Something tells me I wish I'd had
a stronger voice

Our lives crossed, for a time, many words were said
Drowned myself in the water of life to look for a way out
woke up in pain.. junkie sick
to find myself again_______

but; Something tells me I wish we'd had
made better choices
Something tells me I wish I'd had
a stronger voice

Those whisky drenched days of cigarettes and sin
not so long ago they won't try and creep in again
I find myself here, on the other side
Nor Twentysix but i'm making it through alive.
